400+ Hp 350z?
Sounds like the Z06 might be the benchmark. If the 350Z edition can be lighter than the Z06 and not 200 lbs heavier, that would be something. If it is not a head better than the Z06 in performance, I'd still prefer the Vette.
No, not street legal. Only good for GT2 racing if i remember correctly. A bargain if it runs as well as it should!

Ummm, no.
Nismo is working on an R-Tune version that will be about 340hp. They do sell 450hp crate engines, but be prepared to pay a LOT for one, definitely 5 figures. HKS also has a 450hp normally aspirated engine available or soon to be available for the Z. These engines were displayed at the Tokyo Auto Salon. They looked very sweet, to say the least.

"NISMO 350Z Concept Cars
NISMO has created a pair of NISMO 350Z concept cars, both fully modified with numerous pieces from the company's growing aftermarket performance parts arsenal. Adding to the Z's already stellar performance is the NISMO Weldina stainless cat-back exhaust system, which increases horsepower to 295 and torque to 280. An S-tune air filter element, air-to-oil engine cooler, power steering oil cooler, lightweight flywheel, copper mix clutch disc, clutch cover and plate-type mechanical limited-slip differential (LSD) were installed to aid performance and drivability. The NISMO 350Z modifications also include the S-tune suspension, which features coil springs, shocks and sway bars to enhance handling and road-course durability. The Zs, shown in Silverstone and LeMans Sunset exterior colors, also feature the NISMO aero kit, which includes a modified front fascia, side skirts and rear spoiler. Rounding out the package are NISMO LM GT-4 road wheels with Yokohama tires."

[QUOTE]It was only a matter of time until Nissan got back into big-time racing. The company had no choice but to pull most of its racing programs when it was experiencing hard financial times a few years ago, but now that its fortunes have turned, Nissan is ready to dive in headfirst.
With the official introduction of the 350Z in Japan last month (called the Fairlady there), Nissan showed a GT race version of the car. Called the Z33GT racer, this car could lead the company back into the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year where it would go head-to-head with the Porsche GT3 RS in the GT class. If Nissan decides to build it, the Z33GT could be made available to privateers around the world, at a cost of around $250,000; if it happens, don
