The ESX cars are generally regarded as an embarrassment to the Suby tuning community. The car is extremely overpriced for what it offers.

I personally hate the exterior paint/striping and the red wheels (I do like the spoke design though). The black/red seats are a nice change of pace from the blue/black that we get.

Personally, I would take the extra money spent on this car and get a regular STI. Then I would purchase some new wheels & tires, throw on a turbo back exhaust, pick up a Cobb Accessport (or Ecutek), grab some Cusco bars and call it a day. My car would be significantly cheaper and perform better. But, what the hell do I know.

Hell no! The cost is too excessive for such a car.

vtec9 04-04-2006 05:28 AM

an idiot that likes red wheels

clayzS2k 04-04-2006 08:28 AM

Over here where I live those ESX's are sold in a heartbeat and they do frequent the show room floor. The rich folks drop 45-50grand on it for their 17 yr old child that just passed the permit test.

DimaK321 04-04-2006 08:38 AM

wow, almost Z06 territory pricing

you have to be a STI fanbois to even consider this

Erick S 04-04-2006 09:49 AM

No way...IMHO I could do alot better with 60K...

Clayman 04-04-2006 09:50 AM

No way. No chance in hell I'd buy a $60k modified STi. I like those cars a lot, but for the extra $30k, I'll either buy a different car or go on vacation. You've gotta have Subi just coarsing through your veins to even consider such a thing.

geoff2005 04-04-2006 12:16 PM

 o yeah sti and subie fanboys would forgot about those people

mastamind 04-04-2006 12:28 PM

Even the fanboys don't have much love for the ESX because it doesn't provide the monumental leap in performance one would expect from the huge price increase.
