man.. everything looked good about the Alpha Romeo.. price.. IIHS crash ratings.. then I saw the reliability issues from MT and C&D. Definitely not a Honda.
I actually think the CTR looks pretty good.. very different than the beautiful lines of NSX and S2K, but still good in its own way.

I agree with you overall. If the OP checks out some reviews of the Alfa, you will see that it's noted not only for it's fantastic engine, but also for how direct and immediate it's steering response is. In fact many have said that it's a sports car first that happens to have 4 doors.

I can't say I specifically remember from when I drove a CTR, but any of the new Civics have ridiculously responsive steering. I haven't driven them hard enough to know how the feedback is, but the entire chassis responds immediately with even minute steering changes, it's pretty great.

I'm waiting for the supposedly more tame version of the CTR to come out. By tame I mean styling. Supposedly they're releasing a cheaper version that isn't as fully loaded as the CTR and features a low-profile spoiler as opposed to the gigantic wing. I liked the wing on my STi, but not so much on the CTR. I feel like every part of that car has been faux vented, faux cf'd, angled unnecessarily, or has stuff added on. I'm sure there's some benefit to the aero performance, but I feel like most of it is just gaudy and non-functional. A version that's more in line with the Sport hatchback in terms of styling is more ideal to me. Oh, and please give us a stock 18" wheel.

Wow a $93,000 505 hp AWD car is 0.77 sec. faster than a $35,600 305hp FWD car.
If I'm more than doubling the price of the Honda I'll wait till the performance matches the price.

New QV's can be had for $65k all day long. Not sure where you pulled $93k from.

QV did the ring in 7:32, so that's 11 seconds difference.

You buy an Alfa using passion and drama, not logic and reason. ;)

For something more left-field, considered waiting for the Porsche Taycan and/or Audi eTron GT? That's where I'm aiming next.

Got the price(as tested) and times from Motor Trend November '18 issue.
They had the Alfa Romeo in 8th place and the Honda CTR in 4th.

Ironically, it was logic and reason starting with buying the s2k that got me to a point where I can consider most of the cars on the mkt. lol

I've got 13k on my '17 Giulia currently, zero issues. We had a 500 Abarth prior to the Giulia and zero issues with it as well.
