That's bad news. Centric IMO was the sweet spot for quality/price. Michelin wiper blades - good stuff.

I have purchased a lot of centric stuff. Sucks to hear this!

I don’t use any of them but lack of competition in the marketplace is never a good deal.

Tempted to buy some extra stoptech caliper rebuild kits now.

I bet these brands will still be around, maybe sold off to other companies or the company will be restructured and trimmed.

Yes to some, probably no to others. Someone would have to come in and buy these brands out of bankruptcy. some which have billions of dollars in owed back payments to suppliers. Unfortunately for the s2000 community Centric and Stoptech are probably forever gone.

Went and bought 2x ST40 caliper rebuild kits (40mm and 34mm for the two different piston sizes). Bought 1x c42 caliper rebuild kit.

Bought 2x raybestos ST43 r609.17 brake pads for my ST40 front kit.

Bought 1x SR33 pads for my rear C42 kit.

Already have a set of spare rings from girodisc sitting for my front st40 and rear c42.

I figure this is all cheaper than trying to replace my entire brake system with F&R Brembo BBKs for $8K+. This should all last me for the next 10yrs+ if not more.

they always manage to reduce their debt to creditors and then return to business, and just use proceedings to get out of debt. I think they will be back up and running in some form again. It is a playbook that has been used for a long time by big Corporations. I can't see those famous brands just disappearing.

Proly a cheap hedge for anyone that has a stoptech BBK. Do you have the part #'s for the rebuild kits for the ST40 front kit?
