Default BOW BEFORE THE ROUNDEL!

C63 vs IS-F vs M3

"The Lexus and the Mercedes feel like performance versions created out of something else. The M3 feels like it was born this way." Ed Loh's summary is even more succinct: "The Lexus and Mercedes are great hot-rod sedans. The M3 is a race car with four doors."

The looong awaited specs:

This car just dominates its class. Unbelievable. Both the germans pound the IS-F too. Oh yeah, whats with the 19.1mpg out of the M3 and 17's out of the rest. Was M/T driving like grannies or what?

Impressive. If I ever rid myself of the S2000...this would be the replacement.

Wouldn't say the IS-Fugly got thrashed there... They were all pretty close actually, on paper anyway. M3 to no ones surprise except y2ks2k is the best track car. That had to be a cruising at 65 on the interstate avg mpg... most people are getting like 12-15 mpg city in the M3.

Not a bad choice within the bunch, one for every style of driver I'd say.

4 seconds is a thrashing. The IS-F wouldn't have even been in the review mirror when the M3 crossed the line.

A few more tests will have to be run, but the IS-F lovers/M3 doubters are already losing in the polls.

the m3 was slower on the acceleration tests vs the is-f and the c63. Trapped more than 2 mph less as well. So in real world use the m3 could be the slower car. Who's gonna track these cars?
