The fact that they're using in-house staff drivers and still putting down these times is amazing. These drivers are obviously very talented but they're not pros. I would imagine a pro could easily drop 5-6s from the lap, maybe more, given how long it is.

I haven’t really cared at all, since they removed the manual transmission from the car. Big mistake IMO.

I think the problem is that they focused too much on the "masses" part. The masses do want automatic, and the pricing is more or less in line with the likes of the BMW M3 which historically it was also priced similarly against, but I think GM forgot that alot of the charm is that it could also be maintained/repaired by the average person in a home garage.
