Awesome! GT3 has been and always will be my dream "affordable" (I use the term loosely) sports car. I'll settle for a 997 GT3 but this new one sounds and looks even more amazing. S2000 on steroids!

different variants of the 911 are snagging awards left and right, i just finished reading motortrends newest issue and they preferred the 911 C4S over the Ferarri F12 and z51 corvette stingray..

Prices are insane for a 911, though. 991 C2S is $99K, plus options, which add up very quickly. They've raised the price on them way faster than anyone else in the market, except possibly Nissan with the GT-R. The GT-R was underpriced to start, though, given its power levels and performance.

Seriously, cars are (more or less) going up less than 2-3% per model in MSRP, in general, and you're usually getting MORE car (more standard options) for that bump in price. Porsche is jumping prices by as much as 8-10% and that's a lot more bucks when you're talking closer to $100K than $30K. Add to that they're DECONTENTING their cars at the same time and it's pretty bad for buyers.

2012 Accord EX MSRP was $24,405 and the 2014 Accord EX (all-new model) is $24,880 ($475 difference = 2%). 2011 997.2 C2S MSRP was $90,500 and 2012 991 C2S MSRP was $96,400, a 6.5% jump, after which they jumped it up to $98,900 which is more than 9% in a short span of time (with no real change in options to the car). Ticks me off!

I thought a C2S has been 99K since 997.1.

The C4S is amazing. And, you can get it in a manual, unlike the GT3, which makes it a winner in my book.

Porsches are also a bit overpriced imo - and for the money, I think there's usually a great alternative. This was the case in 2004 when I was looking at Boxsters and got the S2000, and its still the case today. A C7 Corvette undercuts a Boxster S on price and outperforms a 911, for example.

A Porsche is definitely a car you pay a premium for because its what you want, not just what it can do.

Surprise.. Surprise.. When you're good at something - charge for it!

They built amazing cars with solid performance and reliability. They deserve to fetch a premium for them! I <3 the new 911s.

Porsche has long been the go-to car for folks with too much money who want to make sure everyone knows it

Complaining about it in 2013 is just coming late to the party.
