I voted EVO, mainly cause I think it looks better than the STI. That's not saying much though, since I think they're both pretty fugly...

 

To each their own. The never-ending "EVO or STi" question! There are arguments on either side, but I am a die-hard scooby fan, so I pick hte STi

 

Seeing as I own an Evo my vote's obvious.

Nothing against the STI but I can live without creature comforts. The blue-black theme in the STI is too much for me.

You can't say anything about the looks of either.. they've faces only a mother would love. lol

Performance is just about equal. But I chose the Evo because I think it offers more feel than the STi. =\ my .02 tho.

 

Well, for the daily driver neither of those. If you plan to track the car then 03 EVO for the win. 4G63T is a better engine and there is plenty aftermarket support.

 

definitely Evolution... i feel less of a hyped up sedan... though the interior looks very cheap compared to the STi... then again i mite be biased coz i drove an evo but not an STi... but in terms of looks... definitely Evolution IX

 

oh and on that note... the STi doesnt have the niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice recaro seats... that i really like >.<

i chose Evolution, both for the poll and in real life.

the Evo's steering is one of the best among the load of cars i've driven. the STi just "feel" heavier in the corners, whereas the Evo feels more nimble. and in real life, the Evo is the better handling car.

then we move on to how the cars repond to mods, and the Evo completely takes the cake in that category, esp. the IX. exhaust, boost controller and flash can get a IX runnin high to mid 11's with a 110+ trap already.

yea the STi's interior has more gadgets (or basic amenities such as cruise control lol), but if i'm dishing 30k to buy a fast and not-so-pretty saloon, i wanna get as much performance per dollar as i can, and in that perspective the Evo's my choice.

i guess it comes down to this: daily driver/stayin stock = STi. pure performance = Evo.

imho.

why are u leaning toward the STi geoff? maybe if u state ur reasons then we could focus our opinions on ur reasoning and give u better advice/suggestions.
