Someone reported that dealership to Mitsubishi and the markup is down to "only" $5K now. $35K, not bad.

Mitsubishis is one of the worst resale value car makers. I would never ever pay MSRP for a Mitsu. I bet the Lancer will depreciate like all other Mitsus.

What is more crazy is you would loose 25k out of the 50k in depreciation after one year. Total cost would have been 25k for one year of ownership. M3 might cost you 5k in depreciation, in comparason.

You can take that same 25k to a Porche dealer and lease a 911TT for a year.

I would consider spending 35K on the Lancer. (I wouldn't actually pay over MSRP, but I'd be tempted to!) I would never consider an M3 or a 911.

I hear Sti's can be ordered at MSRP....

Good thing I'm supremely happy with the S2000 and don't have to make such decisions...
