Default g/f needs a new car....suggestions?

well it's time for my g/f to pick up a new ride and she's a bit up in the air as to what she wants so i thought i'd see what everyone here has to reccomend. pretty simple criteria...

reliable
good mpg
decent look
2 0r 4 door is ok so long as there is decent room in the vehicle
she'll probably go the 2 year old route or so
keep it under 20K used

i suggested she go the civic route as she's already owned one and liked it. some stupid friend of her keeps trying to push her into a trailblazer to which i just laugh. i've also mentioned altima (doesnt like the styling) or a mini (she likes). i will not steer her towards any domestics as i've owned way too many and found them all to be shit! some others i thought about

integra 4 door (bit older though and she's not keen on)
jetta (reliability issues from my understanding)
accord (not big on styling)

i've got to be missing a few decent vehicles out there.....right?

She could get a brand new MINI or tC for under $20,000. The MINI would be my 1st choice.

yeah, get a new scion tc for under $20K. it's got more power than a civic, and it's styling is not too shabby either. i'm sure fuel economy and insurance rates for the car shouldn't be too bad either.

tC (new) looks super for the price. Also RSX (better than a civic)

these would be my 2 top choices for coupes

what type of cars is she into? rsx or scion tc isn't bad. my friend has an rsx and also i've seen people with the scion tc, doesn't look that bad at all. go with your wallet's size alright? if she could handle the tsx, might as well, save some more get the TL. i've seen the RL on the road, oh, super nice, but not a realistic choice in this case. so, i hoped that our inputs did help you somewhat in making a decision.
