I'm kind of digging on the G37 Convertible Sport model - has a few cosmetic tweaks, upgraded brakes, 6-speed manual, 19" wheels, etc. If you load one up, with the premium package, nav, it's about $50K.

 

If history repeats itself, the 370z will look akward with the top up, much like the 350z. (I can't find a picture with the top up, which is just as important as the top down look to me). The Lexus does look like a fancy Solara. G37 doesn't look too bad, but I have to give the edge to the BMW. That said, I would never own ANY of these cars, ever.

 

I agree, they are all bloated, heavy, and ugly

I've never seen a car that was designed as a coupe look halfway decent as a convertible.

 

For some reasons, the A pillars do not inspire confidence.

Well, I have never like any cars that were sedan or coupe to begin with and then got their top chopped off. It is like after thought.

I didn't realize weight was the average consumers concern when shopping for a comfortable convertible cruiser.

^I agree. Weight is not a concern for most people considering these cars. How fast the top drops (and panties) are what they're worried about .

I think the BMW looks the best in drop top form (top up). I think they're equally good looking with their tops down... which one is more fun to drive however...
