Brother and best friend have had these. Great cars - they'll take a beating and keep on ticking.

Best generation of TSX, by far. Lightest, similar engine output to the newer ones (except V6 model), simple and elegant lines, etc, etc. Great buy!

I almost picked one up (with 6MT) last year for my winter driver but ended up sticking with my truck in the end.

Why would you go with a TSX over a TL which is the same if not cheaper? For some reasons the TSX seems to be pricier for what it is. I also note that it gets roughly the same fuel economy.

That thing is pristine. Congrats!

nice pick-up! Why not go with the Hondata Flashpro (vs Reflash)?

Aesthetics and drive quality.

Plus, I haven't seen a comparable TL in this condition for an equivalent price.

I was about to start preaching Lexus and then saw the "$8k" part. Good choice! What did they sell for new? I don't generally find much in terms of a clean car for 8 grand.

Just discovered that they don't offer a Reflash for '07-'08 TSX's..........

MSRP would have been around $30k.

the TSX was in an odd spot in the Acura lineup. It feels sporty, but most sporty Acura buyers went with the (cheaper) RSX (at least, until 2006). The TL wasn't much more, but offered more space and comfort. The TL isn't as fun, but that's not what the average luxury sedan buyer was looking for. I think Acura was really aiming at the 3 series, but it's tough to pull enthusiast from German to Japanese.

Yeah, it's like a 3 series for people who don't care about brand cachet, don't care too much about driving dynamics (not that they're bad, just not 3 series good), and don't want to pay for $15k in options.

Mr.E.G. 06-18-2016 06:20 AM

I say that as an Acura owner.

We bought the first year of the first gen ages ago. Sold it to a family friend who is still driving it today. Good car. Tires make a huge impact on cabin noise.

Hondata flash might be worth it for you.
