Honda Pilot?
Pardon my ignorance, but I am just looking for some info on this vehicle... one of my cousins just called me to help him research this car. Are there any lease specials, rebates on the 2007 model??What did previous owners pay for thi vehicle? Safety ratings, etc??? Thanx!!!
To be honest....it was the car that turned me on to Honda. (i had an undying hatred of Honda prior) My bestfriend had one because her dad wanted her in one of the safest by consumer reports. I drove it around a lot and loved how smooth and quick it accelerated. I recall 7 of us went out in it and that thing still MOVED. She has about 98,000 miles on it and its a 2003. I can HONESTLY say it drives jus as nice and shifts just as smooth when i first drove it over 3 years ago!
btw we had a blowout of a rear tire on I-275 doing at least 80mph. The car took it well.
Tell them go for it!

There was a special lease and special financing on the Pilot during the last 2 weeks in November. Thank promotion ended last weekend. I am sure Honda will have something later on this month.
There are no rebates from Honda at all. Honda doesn't do "rebates", as they understand rebates will come back and haunt them and hurt their vehicles' resale values. What Honda does is offering "dealer incentives." Keep in mind these "dealer incentives" are for the dealers. The dealers are under no obligation to pass on these incentives to customers. They will pass on the incentives to customers only if you know about it, and you mention it during the negotiation process. Even then, sometimes it's hard for the customers to get 100% of what Honda is offering. Unless it's towards the end of the month and the dealer is just trying to make up the numbers. With that said, right now Honda is not offering anything on the 2007 Pilots.
Safety ratings: 5-stars for both front and side impacts in all seating positions. Pilot comes standard with ABS and stability control, not to mention all the airbags.
My parents have an 05 EX-L and they love it. I love driving it, too. It's no S2k (duh!), but it holds its own given the size and weight. My sister and brother-in-law loves it so much they bought an 06 with navigation system. My sister's parents-in-law also has one without leather. I would buy one if I need all that much space. There are reasons the Pilot has been one of C&D's 5Best Trucks several years in a row.

If your dealer has 2006 models left, there is a $2,500 Factory-to-Dealer incentive dubbed "Marketing Support" ***dahh yellow beat me to it! haha***
From what I remember the safety ratings are fairly strong. You can check Edmunds and Carsdirect to see what avg price points are.
You can check their forum, www.hondapilot.org
I have a 2006 Ridgeline, based on a similar chassis to the Pilot, and I think it's a great drive for its purposes.

Are there still 2006s Pilots floating around? I am asking because we sold out ours back in August.
Anyway. If you could find a 2006 Pilot, go for it. There are no changes between 06 and 07, besides some new colors replacing some old ones.

Back onto topic, Pilot is great! Drove one for a whole year. Exterior is on the boring side, but everything else is great; drives like a car too.
