Default how would you spec an r8?

will meet with the dealer this weekend to spec my car...
lotsa options- lookin like i will go for just about all they got- hey, why not? !!

u.s. cars cant do cf, so will have to be after-market, and i wana light the engine- thats not a factory option either.

what would you choose??
http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/n...s/Audi_R8.html

click on the "build your r8"...

i am looking at black exterior with tuscan brown and alcantara interior...

eventually cf sideblades and cf engine bay

will take 6 mos to build and ship the car- so its still quite a long wait (its been over a year already)

what options would you go for?

Doesn't seem like there's many "options" to choose from, unless I'm missing something on the page. Just exterior color, blade color, and interior color.

I'd have to see them in person to figure out what looks good, and what's ugly. Like, what's the difference between a Lava Grey Pearl Effect blade, and a Phantom Black Pearl Effect blade? They look the same on my computer screen.

Oh, and on a $109k car, I'd go ahead and add the navi.

all of them, for real. It is completely ghey to fork over that kind of cash and then, at any point in the future, wish you had something that was an option when you bought it.

I agree on black w/ brown alcantara - black, IMO, is always the best looking color - you just have to be a psycho to keep it looking nice. If I were rocking an R8, it would always be clean, so it doesn't matter.

And congrats on the car - that is quite an accomplishment (or the dumbest financial decision of all time - which I doubt, ha)

In my opinion, the R8 is a striking, but not beautiful, car. Its lines are a little ackward, and its proportions make it look a bit like a front drive car. That said, I would go with Silver and Silver side blades or Black and Black side blades. I saw the Silver and Silver color combination today, and it was the best looking R8 that I have seen. I think a rust colored interior with the upgraded stereo but not the Nav system would be nice. I just like my Garmin Nuvi better than most integrated Nav systems. Enjoy you new ride, and post pics when you get it.

Those rims you posted are stupidly hot.

Given it's not a DD car, I'd go either Black, or Daytona Grey. I haven't seen the grey in person, so it's hard to judge.

CF Sideblades are a must.

Definitely Tuscan Brown interior. I might get leather over Alcantara, because it's much easier to keep clean.

All options, other than sideblade options.

yeah its not a daily driver... none of my cars are-
i walk to work!!

and get to visit the cars there too.

just got a note that the u.s. cars only come with the "brown" (its a bit more red than brown) interior is seats only and that it looks kinda strange...
suggestion was to find a car with that interior. will do that before i order.

yup, its my fantasy car (have owned my p car, and plenty of other toys- this is my first time in this price range though- and i can be here cause of the ability to sell the car easily. worst case, i drive it a few months and then get rid of it- i would have to sell it to the dealer for my cost for the first year, by the purchase agreement).

does leather over alcantara mean leather on the outside with alcantara on the inside of the seat?

hey, hope to share it with you guys soon!!
