Default I got an invite to drive the C7 at monticello

And I cannot wait I will have tons of video and pics to share with you all 9/29 when I get back. But for now, here is what the invite looks like.

What's even better is, I happened to have a 2 day track event scheduled with my s2k a week prior to this event so it will be interesting to see how different the c7 feels on track compared to my s2k. super excited!!

Nice!

It will be nice to hear the opinions of an S2k owner. We all know it is fast. But I just want to know one thing. Is it fun?..

Of course the power and performance is fun. Of course it is a track monster. But we all know the rewarding feeling of driving down a windy backroad in the S. How close will the C7 come to that level of satisfaction?

What I mean is much like the statement made in Jeremy Clarkson's "Powered Up" documentary. He spends the entire program showing impressive machines like the GTR and MP4-12C and how staggeringly fast both their acceleration and cornering speeds are. But in the end his favorite car of the program was neither of those...

I know exactly what you mean. As crazy as it sounds to most people, it's going to be hard to match my 10 year old honda in terms of fun and precision handling. I hope they let me drive with the top off They said they fit all the cars with cameras and telemetry and will send us the video shortly after the event at no charge. On top of that, I will be recording myself via gopro mounted to my helmet.

If you don't mind me asking, how do people get an invitation to an event like that? (ex: work for GM, work for the track, work for a magazine...)

Congrats. I believe Chevy/GM hit it out of the park with this car. In person it's sexy.

I'd love to hear how it drives.
