You think ticket prices are high? Try the hotel rooms--$450 a night for a regular hotel room! That's okay though, because I've got pit passes!

MotoGP is currently 500cc two-stroke or 990cc four-stroke which is theoretically equivalent but everyone runs 990 cuz it's faster. They're going to restrict four-stroke to 800cc in 2007 to slow them down a little and see if anyone will go back to two-strokers.

Even though an 800cc 4-stroke is more comparable to a 500cc 2-stroke, I doubt any manufacturer will switch back.

I'll be there next month! I booked my hotel and stuff last September so I was able to get a room in Salinas for $100 a night. not bad. anyone know what the heck there is to do around there? It'll be my first time there.

It should be an awesome race. I'm hoping someone they'll be a nice fight to finish and not another runaway Rossi win. Maybe Nicky???

They'll be switching to 800cc in 2007 and fuel tank limited to a smaller size. Should make for some fast corners!

Actually they're not allowing ay 2-strokes on the grid in 2007.

You're right... I think that was a rumor before it was official.

800cc and 21 liters.
