New 911 (Preliminary) specs (link).......
The new 2012 (991) 911 Porsche specs & 1st drive tests have come out. Some of the early specs/highlights :
Engines Carrera 3.4L (previously 3.6) - 350 hp (previously 345 hp) Carrera S 3.8L - 400 hp (previously 385 hp) 7800 RPM Redline Transmissions = 7 speed DSG or 7 Speed Manual Wheelbase = +4 inches Overall Length = +2 inches Trunks Space = (4.8 Cu. Speculation on my part but I've read that the two transmissions are based on the same basic design. This might have been a way for Porsche to save money on the transmission design by making one box do both jobs (effectively the auto and the manual). I will be interested to see what the H is like.

Spring 2012 is exactly when my current lease ends. :) This sounds pretty good. I wonder if the cab will be as ungainly as the 997, and when that's coming.
