Why wouldn't the testers just leave the regular 335 body on? It's not like the body work of the M3 actually affects anything dramatic.

Once BMW unveils the finished product without the camo, all the trim and badges mounted....it's going to be history in the making....
Lovin it! |

for one, they probably can't fit the wider wheels/tires that the m3 will use. also, at this point, i'm sure they are testing the car for any minor imperfection in design and manufacturing, such as rattles, etc. in order to assess this, an actual as close to production as possible version will be required.

The front fenders look great, the rears do not seem to fit the package though. I hope that they are given a little more beef for production.
It could be the angle though. The rears look the same as the previous spy shots but those front fenders do look different. |
Not feeling it.

The nose is still ugly IMO.

no gills on the front fenders? anywho, it just doesnt seem "mean" or bulky enough for me. my friend has a e46 330CI (post facelift) and his bro had a e46 m3 (now 330i). when they were side by side, the m3 just seemed more dominant than the 330ci. with this though, it doesnt even seem like that. it seems just as timid as the 335i.

This car is supposed to be a beast, so why doesn't it look like one? Make it more aggressive, BMW.

E92 coupe is by far the best looking bmw since bangle's been in charge, and i'm sure the new M3 will look fantastic in flesh. E46 m3 is a great car but i was never a huge fan of the styling, in fact i still prefer E36 M3 especially in silver over the E46 M3. E46 M3 looked aggressive, yes, but too bloated at the same time. that's why it really looked mediocre with the stock 18" wheels, had to get at least 19s to make it look good.

The side grills have been camo'd also. The purpose of Camo is so that you can't tell what it is. Showing the grills would give it away. The cars your comparing are finished products... wait for the finished product. |
