Yes in that it is coming out the year that the Gallardo is being discontinued, it's under-powered vs its competition, and neither of those facts would stop me from buying it if I had the money and was in the market to get one.

It's good to see at least one automaker still producing supercars that are actually under 3000lbs. I'm looking (mostly) at you, Ferrari...

The last Gallardo uber model was incredibly competitive (I can't remember what it was called. It was the RWD model with the high hp and the lighter doo dads). I can't imagine that this one will not be competitive.

My comment was supposed to be a little more tongue and cheek than it seems that it was taken. I was just ragging on its measly (cough) 570hp since the new lambo has something like 700. But then that's the big lambo, and the model that I was thinking of that is going away is the Murci, so what the hell am I even talking about?

I agree, for some reason Ive always preferred the gallardo over the murcielago (except for maybe the new SV) and would jump on this in a heartbeat even if it was me liking the IDEA of the car rather than the actual execution of it. The day you roll up next to a regular gallardo in this thing would totally be worth the (probably) double the price tag

I like it. Even more over the top than a "regular." And as far as all the special editions they have put out, I like it. It is a lot like Porsche where even though they produce a relatively high volume, getting a special edition or limited run still makes you feel like you have something rare or that much more special.

Any updated Gallardo is a good thing.

As much as I prefer the Murcie, the sharpened Gallardo's are sized and weigthed
