Nissan Sports Sedan Concept
Lest we forget that Nissan has a long history of making cool sports cars as well as sporty cars, Nissan had this at NYIAS:

Now, we introduce the Sport Sedan Concept to continue that tradition. It's low, it's wide, it's sleek, and stands on custom 21-inch aluminum-alloy wheels that are pushed out to the corners. Next-generation Nissan design cues like a "floating" roof, V-Motion front end, and rakish boomerang-shaped headlights and taillights give it an air of openness and motion rarely found in a sedan. The striking Concept is finished off with an exclusive Strad Amber paint that recalls the rich, deep colors found on classic violins. Inspired by modern furniture design, the interior utilizes geometric shapes, metallic accents, contrasting colors, and advanced ergonomics for an ultra-modern, driver-focused atmosphere. http://www.nissanusa.com/content/dam...an_3-large.jpg http://www.nissanusa.com/content/dam...an_6-large.jpg Its dimensionally similar to a Maxima, which this could become. |
Wow - ugly! Huge overhangs front and back - looks like a GT-R four-door, just uglier.
Woof.
I don't mind the looks at all.
Coyote ugly.
Yes, ugly - but how often does a concept end up being produced with the exact concept design?

True, but anything based on that as a starting point will still be hideous. The profile looks like it was designed to look sporty to 90 year old Buick buyers. |
That's not an attractive car at all. Good thing it's just at concept a this point.
Why does every new concept these days have to be so incredibly busy? I just can't get past those headlights.
Yes. Very maxima-ish. Could make for a nice Maxima if toned down. The current Maxima is boring as heck and from what I can tell barely sold at all. They should make it RWD with a 6 speed. Could be a good enthusiast w/ kids car.
