At $28,000, it sold for right around market price. If you look over at NASOIC, there are dealers on both coasts offering leftover 2008 STIs for $7000 off MSRP, which is about $29,000, PLUS you can get 60mo financing at 0% through Subaru. Pretty sweet deal if you can get that financing too.

At least one NASIOC user was claiming that a local dealer offered him a new 2008 STI leftover for $10,000 off MSRP.

I tried to get a buddy of mine to get it. He said, "I dont blast from 0-60mph at every damn light. Its still effin ugly." Oh well. : /

I tried talking my wife into replacing her Jetta TDI w/ one of these screaming deal STI's, but she's a lot more practical that I am, and wants to stick w/ what she has.

It's not just about 0-60. Your friend obviously has not driven one. Plus, this is an all-weather car too.
