All I hear about is how the Z06 is the "bang for the buck" champ. It'll trounce a 360 and a 911 tt for a small fraction of the cost.

Then everyone says the NSX is the most overpriced car of all time (OK I'm exaggerating). Some people (uninformed I'm sure) go so far as the say the M3 and the Elise will outperform the NSX. Not to mention the EVO/STi, and dare I say it the Neon...

So what's it gonna be? If you were given the choice of an (04) Z06 or NSX.

Since the Z06 is so cheap you can even take the LeMans edition (carbon fiber hood and all).

PS there's a Z06 vs NSX thread on NSXprime to whet your appetite. LINK

I want to get to the point about that NSX people (generally) wouldn't look at a Z06 and vice versa.

Also no one can say "I'll take the NSX, sell it and get two Z06s"

A Z06 is hardly a 1/4 mile car.

Rai,

Sorry, the fact of the matter is that the Z06 is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than an NSX. An NSX is a great car, it's just WAY outdated.

Is the current NSX way overpriced, even including the value of the intangibles (build quality, materials, engineering)? YES.

Will the new NSX be worth the added premium over a faster 500hp C6 Z06? MAYBE, depending on the priorities of the purchaser.

I would take the NSX, but I would never pay retail for it. It is not worth $90K, but I hear they are offering substantial discounts on the car ($20K). At $70K I would definately get it over a $55K Z06.

Yeah but just like the discounted NSX the Z06 can be had for about $46K (invoice).
