geezuz, the car in the photos looked identical to the show car, except for the wheels and tires and paint job. Clean your monitors, glasses, whatever. Anyone who thinks a pre-release mule is going to look exactly like a show car is being ignorant.

That looks too old school. :thumbdn:

Ya know, if I wanted an "old-looking" Mustang, I'd go buy a '67 and be done with it. When I buy a NEW Mustang (fat chance that'll happen), I want it to look like a NEW freakin car! This whole retro load has gone waaaaayyy too far.

OK, man, sorry to start a pissing contest. Really.
IMHO, the car that I see in these pictures, and the car that I saw on the road 60 days ago seems to be quite a bit less aggressive... more 'evolutionary'... than the conecpt and show cars I actually started to like. I see your point, as well. I guess at the end of day, all I'm saying is that I don't care for the Real World delivery on this generation Mustang. That's all. I just won't buy one because I don't think it carries the same 'bite' as the concept. I recognize, of course, that many (MOST!) concept cars lose their bite when, or IF, they make it to production. Acutally, I'm bright enough to realize that only bigger ticket cars can be launched in form similar to concept. For example, the Ford GT (which I truly respect) and the Porsche Carrera GT, which I covet. (FYI, I'm a true S2000 lover, but I wish they would have figured out a way to put the 5 cylinder motor over from the concept. :rev: :D ) |
It reminds me of my dads "78" black Toyota celica!
