Default Porsche train wreck "kills" three speedsters...

I read about this in Road and Track mag, and thought I'd do a little searching to find pics or more info. Not sure if a repost.

All of these cars were on a car carrier that was heading to a Porsche vintage show or something, and got "hung up" on the train tracks. Sure enough, a train comes through and plows through the cars, sending them everywhere.
Before...

After...

Ouch. Learned how to wetsand on a 64 356C at the age of 4. Great cars in some ways, horrid in others.

Actually that was the topic of an article in SCM a couple months ago. Apparently, there is some debate over who is liable - the transport company, the fairgrounds (where they were leaving), or the train company. The transport driver took a shortcut out of the fairgrounds and got high-centered on the tracks. Murphy was busy that day, as a freight train happens to be coming down the tracks. The driver called the local police, who called the train company, but not enough time to stop the train. Sounds like a battle of insurance companies to me, and the owner of the cars will end up getting the biggest shaft no matter what.
