well first off, what year is it? 2006 has a totally diff motor that makes more power than the previous k20a2's. but if he wants some power, tell him to get those basic bolt ons and kpro. that should put him on the S's level if not faster.

Check out ClubRSX.com. Everything you'd need will be there.
But, in short, if straight-line speed is all you want, an Injen cold air intake, DC racing header, some kind of cat-back exhaust, and K-Pro tuned will put it over 200whp.

i/e/h plus hondata ecu reflash. With those you should be able to keep up or beat a stock s2000

k&n only has a short ram due to them not bothering with the battery relocation. Go with an aem cia, toda header or the like, and some high flow exhaust mated with a hondata chip/

To be honest if you want to budget it, go with a k&n drop in and the hondata only. you will pick th most up there!

Do not go with AEM for a CAI. You have to relocate the washer bottle to the other side of the car

I will recommend some mods for a low budget and for a high budget set up.

Low budget:

Injen CAI
DC Stainless Steel Race Header
Fujitsubo Powergetter Exhaust
Honda IMG (Intake Manifold Gasket)
Hondata KPRO+Tune

All of this will get you around 205 whp, high 13's in the 1/4 and an insane midrange that would pull a stock S2000.

High budget:

Injen CAI
Toda Race Header, Hytech Race Header or SSR Race Header
Comptech Exhaust
Hondata IMG
IPS K2 Camshafts and upgraded Valvetrain
Hondata KRPO+Tune

This will get you around 230 whp, low 13's in the 1/4, and enough power to murder virtually any car that competes with the RSX. You will walk EVO's, STi's, etc. (assuming they are close to stock).

IF you have any questions let me know. I used to have one of the fastest all motor RSX's in my area and know quite a bit about the car. Keep in mind with the Hondata KPRO your Vtec engagement is lowered to about 4800 rpm and redline is at 8600. If you are able to upgrade the valvetrain, you can safely rev to 9000 rpm.

If it is 2006, then it will cost alot more to get Kpro. so better check your budget before building it

Very true. With K20Z1 you need to get an 02-04 O2 sensor, ECU and then KPRO with the adapter harness. You can usually find the sensor and ECU at junkyards and save a few bucks.
