underground racing does better tt work ;) Worst styling of any exotic car since 2000. Amazing engineering.

But would an Underground Racing car last on a road course :) The McLaren isn't the most exotic, not sexy like a 458, but definitely not bad looking. Definitely amazing engineering. The rear brake-steer makes a LOT of sense.

A combination of engine throttle combined with stability control working the brakes. FYI, the 2007ish G35 sedan is extremely power oversteer prone with the VDC or whatever it's called on. The rear brakes were smoking after one track session. Turning off the VDC really smoothed out the throttle response and made the car much easier to drive. Go figure....

I'm just pointing out that rear brake steer isn't anything new. Some people are acting like it's the second coming of Christ. The difference between McLaren's system and your traditional system is the traditional system's all about safety whereas the McLaren system is all about making the car go faster. There's a big difference.

^ and honestly, I'd rather have an lsd... I am sure that this works extremely well, but I don't see this being better than a good clutch type diff. It is probably lower maint, but on a car that costs this much, why not just put in an lsd?

You don't think they thought about the 1000's of cars in their price range with LSD's? It's McLaren for god sakes! They've thought about everything!

The way traction control works is if it senses that a powered wheel is spinning more than it's non powered counterpart should, it brakes that particular wheel and cuts power to the entire system (designed for safety). Meanwhile, in the McLaren, The power is continuously fed to the outside wheel and the inner wheel is stopped using the brakes. As uncomplicated as the system sounds, to actually design the logic behind steering angle and the amount of throttle input is very hard, all that while messing with the Body Control Unit. Excellent, excellent engineering with a redline of 8500 and so much midrange torque! I am sure this car is better than the 458 but by a very small margin.
