I'd take a ferrari but only because I have always wanted to own one and not taking into consideration maintenance, insurance etc.

Drive? F355, probably. More visceral and raw, lighter weight car, great engine note (that alone is enough to make it the first choice, I think), more power, better looking, Ferrari cachet.

Own (which I assumed is what you meant)? Boxster S all the way. Practically as quick, more reliable, newer, warranty, easier to maintain (more Porsche dealerships than Ferrari dealerships), better handling car overall.

I've never been a fan of the 355 personally. Modern Ferraris didn't start getting interesting aesthetically until the 360 for me.

And the new Boxster S is one of the best 2-seaters I've seen in a long time.

Me too. The poll question is not about owning but driving. So maintenance immaterial unless I'm interpreting the question wrong.

Given that he specified "used" on the 355, I'm assuming he means "own". This sounds like a "what would you buy?" thread.

Yes, own and drive - considering you can get them both for around the same money, which would you go with and why...
