Default What modern era cars will become classics?

I was reading Jay Leno's articles on Popular Mechanics and thought - it would be neat to have one car like his.

So it got me thinking, I really don't want a 40-50's car. Those are way before my time, instead I would like a 90's era sedan or Sports car. One that 20-30 years from now, my son and I will appreciate holding on to it. At present, most of my cars are "disposable"- I have 97 prelude, a 2000 Accord, and a Seinna. The NSX is a keeper, but what sedan would fit the same bill

What modern car will be considered a classic in the future?

Viper GTS: about 1/2 are wrecked at this point.
vettes...no way...too many of them...unless they make some super duper low volume vette.

Since you said sedan, I would have to say a 1994 E 500 Mercedes.

Rare, classic styling and an engine ahead of its time.

I'd vote for the last gen RX-7. That car is still beautiful today. Just have to find one stock or without a blown engine...

The last M3
Miata
All Ferrari models.
Lotus Elise (here the MK1 is already a classic)

Maybe S2000.

Ciao
