Perhaps the only thing worse than not having one is having one as I do and it not working.

The guy ran a stop sign and nailed a lady in a range rover. Write off one Toyota.

hell, with a fire like that, the little fire extinguishers that people carry in cars will not do much to contain it.

I think it was an echo.

True, but it could have been stopped in the first minute or so before it got to that point.

The first few minutes (or seconds) are the most important.
A fire extinguisher could have made a difference,if used in the first minutes.
Ask Firemen on the board.

Well true if you can get to the fire in a the first minutes, but hell someone just ran a stop sign and nailed her, what happens if she's injured and can't get out, still a fire extinguisher will do no good.

That is a crazy fire!!! I hope she got out ok.

I agree with steve.. Fire extinguishers can be crucial. They have saved the life of one person I know and stopped my sisters car from completely going up. However, I do not approve of the flashy chrome ones with hotrod flames that are mounted to the pillars of many civics, cavaliers, and neons...

You sound like a great guy.

She doesn't deserve to burn in her car for running a stop light. Many people mistakenly cruise through one during the course of their lives and don't deserve to burn for it.

I think he was making a little joke. Breathe in, breathe out. Better?
