Just got back (well, to my parents' house in Mississippi anyway) from the Texas Mile in the LS2 RX-7. It's, um, FAST and stuff

Everyone seems mad in here. I will try to make it happy.

Sounds like the car is a lot of fun. I would love to have something like that, but the prices on FD shells are a bit too high for me.

I blame the lack of fiber in people's diet, maybe they need to drink some aloe juice and eat psyllium seed husks to clean out their innards.

How much HP does it take to run 185MPH in a mile?

Cleaned up the dreck.

Any photos or a more detailed account of running the mile?

What, no 256 mph? Just kidding, that is still a scary fast speed. Was the car unstable?

I'm still traveling, will load pics tomorrow.

The car has the later 99+ front spoiler/mini-splitter and nothing in back. Front remains planted, back end was moving around a bit. Quite disconcerting at those speeds! I'm going to get a Shine rear diffuser for it. Would like to avoid adding a spoiler or wing, but I think it needs something.

Sorry I missed the "dreck"! Any chance I could see some of the deleted nastiness? Very curious...

Car dyno'd at 517 at the wheels, but I think that's a little optimistic. It did 129.2mph in the quarter at a 2400' density altitude, 3050 lb. with driver and fuel, so probably ~535hp flywheel. It would take a fair bit more power to drive an S2000 that fast, though.

You didn't miss much, just like 3-4 posts in a row of apathy like "cool story bro."
