found a 01 civic LX 4dr with 79k miles locally - 4sp auto. she's asking $4300. is this a good beater? what big $$ things will break on this car down the road? timing belt needs to be changed @ 100k miles right

things like bump steer on the ap1 s2k etc is info you'll get only from specific forums IMO

The auto transmission on that year was supposed to be really bad, if I remember correctly.

This is also the year they changed the suspension setup. Floats in the corners, big time.

transmission will explode at 100k ... My sister in law and a friends both needed new transmissions @ about 100k. Both 2001.
