Ive been planning on buying the 5.0 ever since I heard about it, but something changed my mind. The Shelby Gt350 is coming back and it looks mean... http://www.shelbyautos.com/vehicles/2011GT350.asp
Its actually made by Shelby and not Ford like the GT500. Even though the 2011 GT500 gets the new aluminum block and 10hp more, Ford now has a new engine in the works. From what I have read, its going to be a twin turbo gt500 V8 and another rumor I heard was that the v6 will get the ecoboost engine currently used in some of Fords cars.

Very very tempting. I have a feeling we'll be seeing those everywhere on the street though
My only complaint is that I dont really like the look of the 5.0 badges on the fenders, I think the GT emblem looks better.

Basically a GT with a bolt-on supercharger and bodykit/wheels (heavy).. and it's going to cost MORE than a GT500 which has a much more stout powerplant to begin with.
Unless you're a diehard Shelby fan or have nostalgia from the original GT350, I don't see the point.

These new 'Stangs are great!
Also, it's nice to see that every one that has responded to this thread has praised this car with out saying, "It's still a Ford..." The new 5.0 is terrific, but I'm more impressed by an unbaised thread on S2Ki haha

truth is, when you are a genuine gear head, the badge doesnt matter. you cant deny that this car will be a great bang for your buck option. Ford is doing us right with this car. The interior on the 2010+ mustangs is also a step up from the older cars.
the new v6 is going to put out as much power as the outgoing gt 4.6 motor. and its twin turbo from what i hear.
the new 5.0 will give the chevy camaro/srt8 guys something to sweat about.
