Default 2011 Scion tC Sneak Peek

saw pre-production and test drove last month and with toyota press imbargos its always get pics of future models.

the car is more of an evolution of the current tC. all i know it will be using the 2.5L with more HP than the Camry with a 6spd manual and sequential auto.

With the FT86 releasing next year, I wonder what will happen to the TC.

I seriously doubt it will be rwd, prob still based on the Corolla platform (right?).

I wouldnt be surprised to see a FT-chassis Scion in the future though.

tC doesn't share any mechanicals with the corolla. the 1st gen tC shared its platform with the Avensis but of course used the Camry's 2AZ-FE. that's why it was about 300lbs heavier than a corolla.

the one thing i was not to pleased to see was that they got rid of the push button climate control system that the 1st gen had. the center dash though is more driver oriented where its angeled more to the driver. a plus is the new steering wheel and its quite a departure from scion/toyota and lexus.

pictures everyday starting from the 26th will be leaked here.
