Could it be lighter without 18 speakers? Sure. Is 18 speakers over the top? Probably.

But the car is still only about 3300 lbs with certain packages, that's pretty damn light for such a large car with 295's in the front and 355's in the back. Not to mention an 8.4 litre world ender under the hood (or 18 speakers haha). Also no one on this forum has heard the sound system....maybe it sounds amazing for factory audio.

I don't even know why they advertise the speakers. Not sure how many people are buying a Viper because of its sound quality

And be honest... if you were buying this and they said "do you want 4 speakers or 18?" what would you say? I'd say give me 18 speakers.

Hardman Kardon 2.1 system, 9 speakers. It probably doesn't weight that much.

Also it seems funny to me that people that used to criticize the old Vipers for their poor interiors; would now be criticizing the new one for essentially having an interior thats too nice for a fast american car.
