2015 Tundra or F150
So, i am looking for another vehicle. It needs to be crewcab/crewmax full 4-door truck. Has to be 4wd and has to be nice inside(leather etc).
The two vehicles that got my attention are the Tundras and F150's. They are both similar in price range but the F150 can be more expensive for their top of the line model.
Anyone have these vehicles that can chime in? It will be used to haul my family and also double as a tow vehicle(S2000 or etc).
2015 Tundra (TRD PRO or Platinum)
-Pros
*Roomy & comfortable back seat
* TRD Pro has good suspension(blstein shocks w/ external reservoirs)
* looks good(to me)
-Cons
*Old Truck(been mostly the same since 2007)
*Poor mpg(14/17)
2015 F150(Lariat or Platinum)
-Pros
*Brand new truck
*Remote Tailgate release
*Good MPG (19/23 for 2.7 ecoboost)
*Good power
*lots of tech electronics
-Cons
*May cost a bit more than a fully loaded Tundra
*rear seats aren't quite as comfortable
Looking at my list, it looks like I should go with the F150. I really want to like the Tundra but there is so much the F150 has to offer.
Here are some pictures to help aid.

F150 is a turbo, service interval for turbo service 100,000 miles. Friends with the Ford, IMHO not an option for me as the turbo just adds questions about long term.
I have 2012 4x4 crewTundra Platinum with 55k, very comfortable for DD. I drove the TRD version and did not like the harshness of the ride.
if I had to do it again I would buy the Toyota.
5.7 runs great and averages 13.6mpg in the city. Don't buy a tow vehicle based on rated mpg.

F150 is available with the 5.0L V8 (normally aspirated) so the EcoBoost turbo engine isn't a requirement.
Ford all the way, for me. I've driven a lot in the Tundra and it's a nice, big, heavy truck with a great motor. However, fuel mileage is truly horrible for the class, it's an ancient chassis and it's not as nice to drive as the Fords overall.
That said, if you plan to keep it for a long time, get the Tundra. They're quite reliable overall.

Why settle for the turbo eingine if it's a con in the long run for maintenance and reliability? The 5.0L was uprated for power (385 hp!) this year and while it doesn't make the torque of the 3.5T, it will almost certainly outlast it, cost you less in the long run and it definitely sounds a lot better as well.

In all honesty when it comes to Trucks/SUV/Towing its always been a common trend to say American is the way to go and it cant be any more true for me.
Im a bow tie kinda guy myself but the new F150 Raptor is one sexy beast.

That's a tough choice. I voted for 2015 F150 just because it just got redesigned, otherwise, I would pick the tundra.
I drive about 80 miles a day in a F150 company truck. It is so boring to drive, its unbelievable. My boss F150 had major problems with his tranny only after 10k miles.

Don't be afraid of the turbo motor. I got our safety director at work a 3.5 ecoboost when they first came out and he had those surging/stalling issues caused by condensation in the intercooler or some crap like that and maybe the ignition coils too. Anyway, that was around 75k miles and we thought Ford sucked because they couldn't initially figure out the problem and it was honestly dangerous to drive. We thought we got screwed getting the Ecoboost
Well, they finally fixed it and our safety director proceeded to rack up over 220k miles on stock engine/transmission with zero issues in like 3 years total. He drives all over the country and tows stuff a lot and likes driving 80+mph. It didn't live an easy life for sure.
Well truck is still running around the company somewhere with 250k+ miles and it's still plugging along. Original turbos/engine/transmission, etc. I'm a believer now.
I'd get the F150 or even the Silverado/Sierra over the Tundra. This is coming from a guy who drives an LX with the same powertrain as the Tundra.
