2016 civic coupe
Anyone else dying to see the new Civic (esp the hatch and Type R) come to US?
I've been following the news closely and these guys have a lot of pics. The coupe here was apparently testing at a track.

Oh, sorry. I got so bored just thinking about the new Civic that I fell asleep on my keyboard.

That isn't the Type R though, it's just another Civic coupe, which is why he said he isn't excited. No interested in a FWD coupe from anyone, not just Honda, but any manu.
If the Type R that other countries get, the hatch, makes it here, yeah I want to drive it. It's definitely not what I want looks wise as it looks like a teenager's wet dream but I would definitely give it a shot for my next purchase by driving it and evaluating even though it's wrong wheel drive.

Civic does nothing for me. The Type R is cool, but man, that bodykit.... No way at age 38 now (gulp, getting old) could I drive that thing. Put that powertrain in a nice sleeper look Accord, though, and I'd actually be interested for a daily driver.

What I find HILARIOUS is the passenger looks like a typical Honda passenger in the street racing scene. Elbow out the window looking for Mustang GTs to call out...on behalf of his buddy's VTEC monster!!

+1 these hot hatches are interesting. The styling is for someone that's 19 but the pricing/budget is for someone that's 25+ with a decent job at 35-40K MSRP for some of these cars.

It excites me to know that they'll bring it here and that they're finally stepping into the 21st century as far as comparable power is concerned. But I have no desire to own one.
Surprisingly, though, what Quickag said makes good sense to me. If I could buy a family car with that engine, I'd probably find that to be more appealing.

I don't mean that like it's surprising that what Quickag said made sense (implying that he normally doesn't make sense), I meant that that idea makes sense to me which is surprising because I'm otherwise not interested in an Accord. Just wanted to clear that up. Also, I vote for Quickag as CEO of American Honda. Lulz.

haha. Yeah, put that powertrain in a sleeper Accord and I'd want one. Heck, put that powertrain in the Pilot and Odyssey too. How about a CR-V VTEC turbo? Stomp the mud out of the Juke Nismo and other hot hatch mini SUV's.
