the body style isn't "mature" but that's subjective.

"Waaa, waaa, they're late"
They're here. Get over it.

This should sell even though it looks like it was designed for a Transformers movie, and fail wheel drive. The fastest front wheel drive car means something to you and Honda, few else.

^and sales is the main thing most manufacturers target when producing a car. This one happens to be pretty cool while doing it
I don't understand all the pessimism around honda/FWD - this shouldn't be shocking. It's like ragging on porsche for their rear engine layout, FWD econo-turned-sporty cars has been Honda's forte since the early 90's. Fastest FWD means little to me, but faster than other performance cars which boast their numbers and at a lower cost is cool and shows the result of good engineering/technology.
In regards to drivetrain preferences, I understand most enthusiasts like RWD, but how many people on this forum bought their S2000 new from the dealership or would buy a brand new "FR" sports car from Honda for 45-50k now? Point is, many people express their preference but very few would actually be customers. Like all other manufacturers, Honda needs to sell cars.
I agree with the styling, nothing close to pretty. I was very put off by the looks of the new civics at first, now they are more tolerable at certain angles.

I love the mechanical feel and high revving Hondas of the past, but this new Type R is bad@ss too. I mean, that time is crazy fast. FWD? Eh, sounds like they dialed out the torque steer. Gaudy body? Eh, to me, it's just that annoying rear bumper, which I can easily get over. Assuming I like driving it as much as I anticipate, I'll probably be in the market for one.
