i am really don't use the convertible all that much....so....i was thinking if i could get a 350z and lighten it by a decent amount that would be kind of cool.......

My350z.com

Don't do it, used to have one and it's not good. Coming from the S you'll likely hate it.

You can't lighten it very much everything is aluminium to begin with. The reason it carries so much weight is that it shares it's chassis with much larger/heavier Nissans.

My350z is a good board. Steer clear of everything350z.com, it's run by the same people who ran EverythingCelica(ecelica).com. That site finally had to shut down because both its board and store were known for being shady.

I don't think you can do much to lighten the Z. It's just a big car with a v6. If you gut a base model, I'd be surprised if you lose 200lbs.

I'm also thinking about trading my Mini for a 350Z. Personally, I don't think it's the best car for the track (weight), but I just want a nice daily driver that I can also use for drift events here in CA
BTW, I go to www.my350z.com

yea I frequent my350z.com here and there as well.. my roomate has an 06 which is the only year I would even consider an option due to the upgrades... but then again lined up with the 06 s2k and upgrades I would probably still choose the S..
