Nissan has released the MSRP for the 350Z: $28,629 for the base model; however, there are five different models available: Standard; Enthusiast's model; Touring model; Performance Model and Track Model. I'm sure this car will exceed the price of the S2000 once the various "models" are sorted out and dealer "Market Adjustments" are added. The cars should hit the showrooms in August.

I don't think you have the price right. It has been listed for quite a while as $26,269 (base) + $540 destination for quite a while. Same price is still at the www.nissanusa.com site. Most expensive is the "track" model at $34079+dest. But you get most all the goodies with the Enthusiast or Performance models for $28-31K. Also heard that Nissan was working to prevent the price gauging with reports that people have ordered them at list. Release in 23 days, according to the above site.

My info was not as good as yours. I converted the MSRP of $44,900 (Canadian) using the current exchange rate which may not have been in effect at the time of the original posting. I still don't see how they can give so much content for so little (relatively) money.

courtesy nissan in mesquite TX is charging MSRP. no add ons or bullsh*t.
I checked this out last August when you could start ordering and put down the 1K.
8K-10K over, please, there will be no shortage for this car, according to http://www.350zforum.com/ The first 350Zs will be arriving in ides of August from Oppama, Japan. For the first model year, Nissan expects to be delivering 30,000 of these cars, almost 7,000 of which have already been spoken for. What have people ordered? Two thirds of preorders are leather-equipped Touring models, 8 percent are Track cars, and 7 percent are Base models. Also a full one third of the preorders are with automatic transmissions.

This is a Mass production car, unlike the s2000, unless Honda does something about this, the 350Z will be in more house holds and will provide more car for the dollar, than Honda can compete with, which would drive the resale value of our car up.
I love my S2000 and couldn't wait for the release of the 350Z, so I went for the S2K for now. I might trade mine off for one later next year.
take a look at the video on the site, a test drive of the car, 1-2-3 he scrateches the tires going on to a ramp to get on the highway.

I wouldn't 'F' with this car in my S once it is on the road, it might be fun once or twice.
