Many unmolested S2000s will be $50,000 one day. Mark our words.

2001 AP1, unmolested, 18,434 miles on the cock as it sits under cover this morning. I've known it since new (May 2001) and acquired from the original owner on 7/27/18. One of two dream cars for me. The other is a 1st gen NSX, 1991 to be precise. Barring personal disaster, I can't ever see selling this glorious machine...

I see prices only going up these past few years, because there is a limit of how many cars remain stock and in good shape there must be higher prices. These cars are all special in my opinion and I am glad I still have mine since new.

Having molested my 2002 (bought unmolested in 2015 with 19,800 miles) I can honestly say it is better for it. My finely tuned 2.4L stroker provides many more smiles per mile.
I'm not interested in ever selling it, so could care less if some naive purist will only spend $50K on a low mileage unmolested. For most of us who actually _drive_ their s2000 this entire line of discussion is fairly moot.

To each his own, folks. What "does it" for some does not for others. I think it is a wonderful dichotomy between the "modifiers" and the "stockers". And though I too have zero plans to part with the AP1, modifying it is not my personal choice at this point in time. But to those who have and would, I get it...and for those that have, man some of you have done some really, really cool things to an S2000 and that specific S2000 is indeed the better for it.
