Any BMW 328i with the normally aspirated straight-six (230ish hp) would be a pretty good car to drive. Not as reliable as a Civic Si but those engines are pretty good and the cars have depreciated fairly well now. A 2011-2013 (I think) model would be fine. Get it with the Sport package and you're set.

I've been looking for a 2006 BMW 330i, which has the 255 hp version of the 3.0L engine (the only year they put it in the 3-Series - they moved to the 335i the next year and I don't want a turbo engine) for my daily driver. They're tough to find with low miles but they're a pretty great little car.
Otherwise, a newer 328i is nearly as quick, obviously newer and drives pretty well as well.

They're not quite as bad as people make them out to be, especially if you stay away from the turbo models. Heck, I really wanted an e36 m3 sedan, but they're just too damn old at this point (too much maintenance), and cost wise just not worth it. I think an e90 makes a fine daily driver.. if you have a few other cars as backups, it doesn't hurt either.

The 330i has no real issues - they were all sorted out by that point. The engine does have a few different parts and they're not interchangeable with the previous cars, as best I can tell. That general engine architecture has been around for quite some time and should be quite reliable.
The 328i (specifically) is quite good. General maintenance includes the water pump and thermostat, based on my research and buying notes (what I'm seeing done on cars with 60-70K miles), and oil leaks are not super common, from what I've seen.
