Exige S.

And when did a CL55 become a sports car?!

Are you really looking for a sports car or a sporty GT car?

Some of your choices don't really fit together. Maybe you should boil it down to nuts and bolts.

It seems you want something unique looking and rare, and are willing to put that way above the performance and "sport" of the sports car (e.g. NSX, Aston).

It also seems you want something luxurious and presumably a daily driver... something along the lines of a GT niche. I still can't figure out where the CL55 came from. It's decidedly NOT sporty.

I'm also going to guess that a penultimate "sports car" like an Exige would be too hard core for your tastes.

I would try to limit it down even more so. Are you looking for comfort, or are you willing to sacrifice for performance? If you are broad enough that a Corvette, and Exige, and any MB AMG all fit you really need to narrow it down. How many doors? How many seats? How much speed? Fast, or fun to drive (they aren't mutually exclusive, but they aren't always the same thing). Are you looking for a great badge, or a great car (not a bad thing at all, I know there are many here that are anti-badge whores, but being one isn't necesarily the worst thing in the world). Is MPG a concern? Define expensive to maintain.

Just a few things to kick around to further limit your choices, the problem with just throwing a number like 50-60k out there is there's SO many great choices you're going to have a very hard time deciding unless you think more specifically.

Course, in this price range flipping a coin wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. There's a lot of amazing cars at that level, IMO most of them you can't go wrong. Just make sure its what you are looking for.

MB and Aston aren't sports cars. So decide what you want, sports car or GT.

You won't be getting a GT3 for 50-60k. The cayman S would be good, but buy a slightly used one if you can. If you won't buy a vette get the NSX. I think you would be most happy with that. Or you could get a used viper.

Best sportscar based on your criteria, C6 Vette, you'll even have a decent amount left over for mods to really kill some competition.
Best car relative to the cars you're considering, dunno, buy the best badge you can afford for that price range. Dodge Viper?
