Default 991.2 GT3 - 7:12.7 around the Ring

Insane time. I know lap times between different cars can't really be compared due to weather and a million other factors, but this thing is bloody flying. And the noise coming out of that 4.0 engine ... somebody freakin' hold me

That said can somebody much smarter explain to me why the driver is short shifting (does that engine need short shifting to better stay in the powerband on upshifts?), and is it just to my n00b eyes but does it look like the driver could have taken better lines around some of the corners? I haven't been on the Ring obviously, but I've played a lot of Gran Turismo back in my younger days

Must be one of the fastest non-turbo times. Really cooking much faster than that Civic Type R. Like 30 seconds faster! Crazy.

I know that. The effort involved to run both to best lap times is also pretty apparent. Not really comparing cars, just the recent videos.

Amazing performance! I wonder how the stick shift 991.2 GT3 would do.

Maybe slower. That PDK is pretty darn good system.

I realize I am a giant wuss but that just looks scary fast. If I were in the passenger seat it would be white knuckles and pooped pants.

Wow, great eye and good catch! Your video game experience definitely supersedes his real-life experience on the track, for sure.

Anyone know how we could possibly relay this information to the driver? He should start playing Gran Turismo asap and learn better lines.
