I've always wondered what Mr.C. does for a living and if he owns or did own an S2000 ?
Just curious
Just curious
He owns a 911TT
an s2000
a Landrover LR3 (massive piece of sh!t car)
Mercedes S500
You would think that someone who talks this much sh!t about imports and LOVES domestics, he would have a viper/z06 in place of the TT. A grand cherokee over the POS LR3. A cadillac DTS over the S500. A solstice over the s2k.
He is the biggest fanboi on this site.

You have posted this argument againt fanboism/generalization repeatedly. Surely by now you realize that most people are untrained in logic and that your fight against them will never end.
For most people, the purchase of a car is an emotional decision. It is based on how they wish to be percieved and their desire to be associated with the qualities of the stereotypical owner of that particular model.
Generalization/fanboism occurs through the desire to rationalize a given choice of car and through that, validation of one's own identity. This is particularly true for insecure and nonconfident people.
It takes maturity and education to understand that fanboism is wrong. Neither trait is a prerequisite for participating in this forum. Membership is available to everyone.
The special nature of the S2000 attracts a particular segment of the general population. The qualities of this segment make the forum an interesting read. As time goes by, the qualties of the car change (e.g. it's price) and resultingly, the population which participates in this forum changes as well. Due to this factor, although your fight against fanbois will educate a few people, ultimately it is never ending.

The S2000 isn't exactly a grocery-getter Camry that hundreds of thousands buy each year.

I have owned domestics in the past, I don't currently own any but that does not mean I turn a blind eye to them either. In reality what I own (and your list is wrong, I have an S430, not the more expensive 500 and a couple other things too) is neither here nor there.

The LR3 is a massive piece of shit car? I wonder why it won SUV of the year in 2005. I guess maybe we should send your opinion to MotorTrend -- and the tens of thousands of owners. What with all of your actual experience in the matter I'm sure everyone will see the error of their ways!

Yup, SteveC has been banned. Now we just need an IP ban.
