Temple of VTEC just dyno'd (on a Dynapack) a 2008 Accord Coupe V6 6MT and got 268 hp at the hubs! That's higher than the old 287 hp 350Z and 290 hp G35 Coupe!

Not in the quarter mile, it's not, according to my latest car magazines ( ). From a roll, I'll bet it's close, though. They have traction problems in the first two gears, which hinders them a lot.
0-60 in 5.9s (traction limited)
14.5s @ 100 mph in the 1/4 mile
So, you can see that the power is definitely there, it's just not very good on launch.
Call it a driver's race if you're not going from a launch and even then, it'd still be close.
