Styling issues aside, isn't Acura supposed to be the performance division of Honda?
The TSX wagon specs are as expected, base engine, auto trans, etc. A V6 could be in the future like the regular TSX, but the majority of buyers aren't looking for a manual transmission wagon. I would think the wagon market is a pretty small niche as it is.

5-spd auto when it should have 6+ gears? check
FWD only? check
no turbo on the 4-banger? check
less-than-impressive MPG? check
overpriced for what you get? check
sounds like another winner from Honda to me

So close and yet....I remember posting on this forum when word leaked out that this car was coming that I would by one if it had a manual transmission. It doesn't and I won't. Two interesting facts about the TSX and wagons. 1. The TSX has the youngest buyers of any luxury brand car. It's relatively inexpensive, so begining real estate brokers and lawyers can have something nice that has some status without having to pay the BMW premium. 2. Over 50% of Volkswagen Jetta sports wagens are diesels (I'm pretty sure VW spells it with an e). I can't help but think that young buyers who wanted to save a bit of money, but still drive a luxury brand car, would jump at the chance to drive a manual diesel TSX wagon. Excellent mpg, good looking (minus the weird Acura grill), badge appeal (for those who care), and a reasonable price.
Honda could have had a hit if the TSX wagon was available with a manual and they could have used it to launch their clean diesel engines in the U.S. Price couscious yuppies would love the blend of economy and luxury, and Jetta wagon owners might want a car that's a bit larger and made by a company with better dealer service. But with the Jetta sport wagon on one end and the Crosstour and Vensa on the other, I think the TSX wagon will be overlooked. Everytime I think of this car, the words "if only" repeat over and over again in my head.
