For my daily driver I wanted:
1. Cheap to get
2. Cheap to insure
3. Cheap to keep (30mpg, no premium gas)
4. Preforms well in bad weather.

In the Balt/Wash area, daily driving is pretty tough on a car. I would hate
to buy something nice only to have it covered with stone chips and/or door
dings two years later.

Focus SVT. Car's pretty inexpensive and has some good power (170hp?). Cheap to insure as well. The WRX is also a nice car though it is about 5-7k more than the Focus SVT.

I currently use my Subbie Forrester as my winter car...(wish it had the WRX engine in it though!

Ok, here's my logic. If I'm going to spend $25k (after options) on a Acura RSX, why not spend $27-$28k on a used s2000?

Insurance is actually less for the 2000 Stook:

According to my local insurance agent - "The RSX is 2 yrs newer and one car symbol higher than the Honda."

The S makes a better daily driver. I use mine as a work truck sometimes.
