The aftermarket audio scene is dying. The stereo you get now are much better than the ones before so less people are less inclined to touch it. I used to be an audio junky, but with the sound system I get in my Lexus, it's decent enough that I don't feel the urge to replace it.

OP, maybe you can use something like this:

Plus with the integrated electronics automakers are using today, a simple DIN stereo has no home.

Amps and speakers however are still important, and at least our cars have hand dash controls and a door to cover the dancing lights.

Thanks for the link but it says only cars not equipped with the 6 disc changer will work. Unfortunately mine has the totally rad, can't live with out it early 2000's 6 disc changer.

Double DIN with a 6.5- 7" screen would be your best bet if you're looking for something OEMish for a CRV.
