Default Any car shipping recommendations?

Hey everyone.

I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on a transport company to ship my cars from MI to CA. My normal method isnt available anymore (Tom from facebook if anyone knows).

Over the last few years I have shipped about 4 cars from CA to MI and only 1 of those times was a good experience. I cannot find any of the info from the company I used. (they were all through brokers)

Looking to ship my s2000 end of next month, my other car and gf's motorcycle the month after.

Thank you!

I just got a quote on Saturday for RELIABLE - ENCLOSED shipping from Yuma, AZ to Pt Huron, MI- cost was to be $2200- about $1/mile. I chose RELIABLE because of good recommendations.

Do you need enclosed transport, or is open transport ok?

I've used Montway several times for cars that I have sold across the country.

Were they careful with the cars?

From their website:
Montway is a fully licensed and bonded Transport Management Company registered with the USDOT with a broker license number 2239816.
Any experience with them is dependent on who actually did the hauling. I used them for enclosed transport and it was a retired OTR trucker with a F450 and enclosed, single car trailer. Worked fine for me. I had to move at a specific time (Thurs-Fri- Sat) and the big carriers were all on their schedules, not mine.

Montway enclosed shipped my 14 C7 Corvette from Kerbeck Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC in Atlantic City, NJ to La Crescenta, CA (a suburb of LA) in less than a week in spite of a blizzard on the East Coast for $1,500. I was very happy with Montway.

That is a good price! I've only been quoting for open trailers, i should check on an enclosed one.

I just realized I do have lowering springs (espier) on my s2000. Doesn't seem low to me but does anyone know if that will cause an issue loading the car up?

I have my oem suspension I can swap into the car but really didnt want to spend a limited weekend doing that project.

They were with mine. Not a mark. Nothing. Funny story: I was supposed to be able to track my car on its coast-to-coast trek. The dispatcher, who was a Ukranian lady who spoke very broken English, said I couldn't talk to the driver because he didn't speak English. When my car showed up, the driver was a nice, polite young Latino guy, early 20's, who lived in LA, who spoke perfect English.
