Any experienced Subaru CrossTrek owners here?
My college-graduate daughter just bought a used 2014 with 56k miles on it - seems like a really nice vehicle and since it's going to be up to me to help keep it running well, I thought I'd ask the brain trust here for pointers towards historical problems and solutions regarding the vehicle.
Thanks in advance for your help!

It's basically an Impreza with a lift kit. The Imprezas are pretty reliable. Just change the oil at regular intervals, and check of oil burning. If it does burn some it won't be much. Not too much to concern yourself with. It was built in Japan. I'd have her check the oil level once between oil changes for now, other than that just follow the oem scheduled maintenance.

^ What he said.
The weak point seems to be the front axles. They tend to go out between 70k-100k miles. Other than that, I've not really seen any other major problems, except for the occasional motor that likes to consume oil like it's gasoline... I have a '15 5-door impreza with 23k miles. nothing out of the ordinary yet.
These days, most cars should make it to 100k miles without any major problems. It's after 100k where you really see the "quirks" pop up.
